Caroline Cho, O.D., IACMM
Caroline Cho, O.D. IACMM, received her Bachelor of Science in microbiology from The Ohio State University and graduated with a Bachelor in Visual Science and a Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry.
Dr. Cho is an active member of the Illinois and American Optometric Association as well as the Academy of Myopic Control and Orthokeratology. She has experience in the diagnosis and treatment of eye related diseases such as bacterial infections, corneal ulcers, and co-management of refractive surgery and dry-eye patients.
Dr. Cho is trained in fitting corneal reshaping lens (Ortho-K) that you sleep in and remove in the morning, which enables the patient to be free of glasses or contact lenses during the day. Ortho-K was approved in 2002 by the FDA for overnight wear for visual improvement and Dr. Cho has found it to be the best way to treat myopic progression by slowing myopia creep by as much as 90%.
Dr. Cho recommends that everyone have an annual eye exam every year. “The Eyes are the Window to Your Health” and many systemic health conditions such as Diabetes, Hypertension and many genetic disorders can be detected during your eye examination.

Cary Herzberg, O.D., FIAOMC, IACMM
Cary Herzberg, O.D. FIAOMC IACMM, is a true visionary in the field of Myopia Management and has more than 30 years of experience in this field. As a third-generation optometrist, Dr. Herzberg has recently combined his expertise in myopia management by merging his practice with Dr. Caroline Cho. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry.
Dr. Herzberg is a member of the Illinois and American Optometric Association. He is a leader in the field designing ortho-k and scleral contact lenses. He is currently a consultant with Johnson & Johnson Vision Care. As founder of both the American and International Academy of Myopia Control, his dedication and passion to educate his fellow colleagues both here and around the world has brought him many awards to numerous to mention.
Dr. Herzberg lectures extensively around the world teaching eye doctors how to properly design specific contact lenses to slow down the progression of myopia (nearsightedness) in children that are at risk of developing various eye pathology that could lead to vision loss. The advantage of ortho-k lenses for children and adults over conventional contact lenses is that they are worn while you are sleeping and are removed in the morning. It reshapes the eye so that there is no need for correction all day!
Dr. Herzberg specializes in fitting patients who are diagnosed with keratoconus and other conditions of the cornea that would benefit from a scleral lens design. These lenses vault over any deformity on the cornea to create a smooth optical surface restoring vision when standard glasses or contacts no longer help.
